Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Oak Park Heights, MN is seeking a Senior Technical Architect, Database Platforms to lead enterprise database strategy, architecture standards, and modernization efforts across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient data platforms, mentor engineers, and drive governance, risk, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in database engineering/architecture roles.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-scale database architecture.
• Deep expertise with Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Experience with high availability, DR, security, and performance.
• Ability to influence decisions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead database platform strategy, architecture standards and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams for solutions.
• Drive modernization and cloud adoption of database services.
• Define operational standards: monitoring, backup, DR, and HA.
• Mentor engineers; promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
