Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a Linux System Administrator to own the enterprise Linux infrastructure, ensuring availability, security, and reliability for critical business apps and manufacturing systems. This role collaborates across IT teams and emphasizes automation and continuous improvement.

The hybrid position is based in Oak Park Heights, MN, offering on-call support and a focus on scale, security, and modernization of the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Red Hat technologies (RPM, Yum/DNF, SELinux, firewalld, LVM, sudo, cron, Red Hat Satellite).
• Experience with automation and scripting technologies including Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible, Bash, Python, and Git-based workflows.
• Experience supporting enterprise monitoring, backup, recovery, and virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of security best practices, patching, vulnerability remediation, access management, and least-privilege principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, support Red Hat Enterprise Linux across physical, virtual, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance.
• Manage users, groups, permissions, access controls, file systems, storage, and OS services.
• Monitor health, logs, capacity, performance, and availability to proactively resolve issues.
• Support day-to-day operations and maintain service levels for critical business and manufacturing systems.
• Participate in on-call support, incident response, outage recovery, major incident management, and root cause analysis.
