US AI is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support the enterprise IT infrastructure, stay current with systems, and adapt to evolving company needs. The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership and proactive problem-solving.

You'll work in a high-energy team, coordinating across engineering, security, and DevOps to maintain robust systems and deliver value daily. North Bethesda office, strong growth potential, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Linux system administration and/or Windows system administration.
• Familiarity with IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, routing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage monitoring and alerting functionality for core system servers.
• Manage user roles, permissions, and policies across all company software (AD, Gitlab, AWS).
• Handle password, SSO policies, and best practices across systems.
• Process software requests including pre-installation research, vetting, and installation.
• Serve as first point of contact for technical assistance via phone or email.
• Create infrastructure scripts using Bash and Python.
• Track and input support tickets into IT ticketing systems.
• Deploy and configure Linux servers and reformat work machines as needed.
• Maintain configuration profiles including patching and software management.
• Develop and update installation, configuration, and operational guides.
• Track and remediate cybersecurity threats.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, data scientists, developers and stakeholders.
• Work in cross-functional agile teams to deliver on product/project objectives.
