Job summary

RESA Power, LLC is seeking a Sr. Shop Tech to receive and carry out work assignments from management and internal customers, supporting shop operations and customer orders.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electrical gear, and completing test reports to standards. The role may involve welding, painting, and work with transformers or switchgear depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and 5+ years in a related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA safety standards.
• Experience with low/high voltage equipment as applicable by location.
• Able to communicate effectively and work in a team.
• Valid driver's license if a company vehicle is used.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming visual inspections for electrical and mechanical defects.
• Troubleshoot, test, maintain, repair electrical equipment and related components; may weld/paint as assigned.
• Complete test reports to company and customer standards and timelines.
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and coordinate with other departments for quality.
• Communicate with PM/Manager for problem resolution and information transfer on active jobs.
• Mentor and train Shop Techs as directed.
• Work nights and weekends as business needs dictate.
• Provide offsite technical support as required or assigned by manager.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work area and follow safety rules.
