Job summary

RESA Power seeks Service Field Techs and Sr. Service Field Techs to perform testing and servicing of high voltage power systems up to 500 kV. Roles require electrical safety discipline, data collection, and on-site coordination with customers.

Position involves on-site testing, maintenance, and repair of switchgear, breakers, transformers, and related equipment; travel up to 50% and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with 1 year in related field; valid driver’s license preferred.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
• Experience with high voltage equipment and switchgear up to 500kV is preferred.
• Ability to work safely and follow electrical safety procedures; strong problem solving.
• Good communication, time management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data-collect low/medium/high voltage systems up to 500kV.
• Test switchgear, circuit breakers and transformers (45 KVA to 130 MVA).
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on breakers (up to 15 KV).
• Operate high voltage test equipment and assist with control/transfer schemes.
• Respond to customer emergencies and rotate on-call duties.
• Complete on-site job reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
