Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Field Tech to service, test and maintain power transmission equipment up to 765 kV. The role covers field testing, commissioning and repair across high‑voltage gear, switchgear, transformers and control systems, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates need a HS diploma and HV experience; travel will be extensive, with 100% travel for some assignments, and benefits including full coverage and relocation support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of related field experience.
• Knowledge of standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
• Hands-on testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV substations 69kV–345kV.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and data collection on HV to 765kV systems.
• Switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
• Inspect and repair transformers 45 KVA to 1,120 MVA.
• Filling SF6 gas insulated switchgear.
• Testing LV/MV cable installations; high voltage equipment operation.
• Commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair on controls and transfer schemes.
