Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Surgical Technologist who will perform delegated tasks to support safe and efficient operating room operations. Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (or Instructor) - AHA.
• Certification: CST/TS-C/CSA or grandfather clause per SB1239/Patents 2009 requirements (HB 643) with 30 CEUs every two years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, equipment and supplies for the next patient.
• Pass instruments and supplies for procedures and assist in multiple surgical specialty procedures.
• Mentor and orient new Surgical Technologists and train others.
• Promote a positive work environment and support interprofessional teamwork.
