Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced surgical technologist to support neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, and robotics procedures. You will maintain aseptic technique, assist in equipment prep, and help with room turnover alongside the RN circulator.

Required are an accredited surgical technology program, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and BLS. Five years OR experience with two years in specialized areas are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Five years of total OR experience required; two years in specialized areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptic technique and organization of supplies and instruments.
• Prepare patient, assembly of supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Assist RN circulator in room setup, turnover, and specimen disposition.
• Monitor sterility of supplies and ensure proper documentation of charges.
• Serve as a clinical resource and preceptor for staff; contribute to department goals.
