Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider; NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• Experience: 5 years operating room experience required; 2 years in neurosurgery/spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho or robotics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in aseptic setup and maintain sterile fields.
• Prepare and organize supplies/instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist RN circulator with patient prep, supplies, equipment, and specimen disposition.
• Monitor sterilization and document charges accurately.
• Attend in-services and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource; support unit clinical projects.
