Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• 5 years of operating room experience in a surgical technologist role required.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and assists in preparing the patient, instruments and supplies for neuro procedures.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, instrument assembly and room turnover.
• Assists with all aspects of case setup and equipment readiness for complex neuro cases.
• Monitors and documents instrument sterilization and supply usage according to policy.
• Participates in continuing education and performance improvement activities.
