Job summary

Advocate Health, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the full-time OR team. You will support aseptic technique, prepare instruments and supplies, and collaborate with the RN circulator to ensure smooth patient flow during complex procedures.

This role requires at least 5 years of OR experience with specialized training in neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, or robotics, and current BLS and Surgical Technology credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Current Surgical Technology certification required.
• 5 years total OR experience; 2 years in neurosurgery/spine/cardiothoracic/complex ortho/robotics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and prepares supplies for procedures.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep and room turnover.
• Works in neurosurgery/spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho, and robotics.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and documents charges accurately.
• Participates in staff development and policy/standards updates.
