107 The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Atrium Health Pineville - Surgery Room. The role requires full-time hours with a 40-hour work week and benefits eligibility, including including weekday days with night shifts and weekend call.

The position emphasizes expert aseptic technique, instrument preparation, room turnover, and collaboration with OR staff across neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex orthopedics, and robotics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Current certification required through NBSTSA or NCCT.
• 5 years of total operating room experience in surgical technologist role required; 2 years of specialized training in neurosurgery/spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho, and robotics.
• Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and ability to respond to age-specific issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique during procedures.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists RN circulator and room turnover.
• Supports specialized procedures: neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics.
• Documents charges and monitors sterility and equipment usage.
