Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide direct and indirect care, assist surgeons, and mentor colleagues. The role requires BLS certification within 30 days and either an Associate's degree or a Surgical Technology certificate. New grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures; ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and be scrubbed prior to patient entering the room.
• Run mayo and organize back table to support the surgical team.
• Anticipate case needs and collaborate with surgeons for efficient procedures.
• Precept and mentor staff and students in planning for surgical events.
• Assist in first scrub, first assist, and second scrub roles and complete case turnover.

Education

Associate's degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
