Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams in a fast-paced setting. The role involves assisting surgeons during operative procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and training new technologists and students as needed.

The candidate may be a new graduate with an Associate’s degree or a Certificate in Surgical Technology, and BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days (American Heart Association)
• Education: Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
• Work Experience: Accepts New Grads

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures timely, accurate and efficient.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before patient entry.
• Run mayo and assist; ensure instruments, suture and equipment are complete and functional.
