Job summary

Carle Health in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prepare sterile fields, and support intraoperative procedures across multiple specialties.

The role requires BLS certification, an associate degree or certificate in surgical technology, and welcomes new grads; you will mentor peers and contribute to efficient OR turnover and patient safety. You will scrub, run mayo, and adapt to surgeon preferences while maintaining calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education: Associate‘s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
• Work Experience: Accepts New Grads

Responsibilities

• Preparation for surgeon specific operative/invasive procedures that’s timely, accurate effective and efficient.
• Scrubs on simple to complex procedures for a variety of specialties.
• Able to “run mayo” independently.
• Adapts style to match surgeon and procedures.
• Confident and competent during routine and emergency procedures.
• Be available to be assigned on-call hours outside of schedule work-hours, which includes after-hours, weekend and holidays.
