Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or completion of military training in Surgical Technology/Operating Room Specialist.
• Current certification in Surgical Technology required.
• 5 years of operating room experience in a surgical technologist role required.
• Meets all ST III qualifications of Surgical Tech Ladder.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing patient, supplies, instruments, and room turnover.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterility of supplies and equipment.
• Support RN circulator in prepping patient and handling specimens; assist with room turnover.
• Monitor sterilization processes and document activities.
• Participate in in-services, performance improvement, and educational opportunities.
