Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Union West Surgery team in North Carolina. You will assist in aseptic technique, prepare rooms, equipment, and specimens, and work with the Registered Nurse circulator to ensure smooth patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS, and Surgical Tech program completion; NBSTSA/NCCT certification preferred. Eligibility for on-call and shifts as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military OR tech training.
• Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred; meets ST II qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing the operating room, supplies, and instruments for procedures.
• Supports RN circulator and turns over rooms while maintaining sterility.
• Monitors and documents sterilization activities and inventory levels.
• Participates in training, policy development, and department projects.
