Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Current certification in surgical technology is required.
• Meets ST III qualifications of the Surgical Tech Ladder.
• Minimum 5 years of operating room experience in a surgical technologist role.

Responsibilities

• Assists in aseptic technique and prepares instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Supports nurse circulator in patient prep, instrument assembly and room turnover.
• Monitors sterility and ensures proper charging and documentation of supplies.
• Assists with policy, procedure, and standard development and staff education.
• Acts as a clinical resource and preceptor for others and participates in projects.
