Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Atrium Health Surgery Center Huntersville. The role supports the Certified Surgical Technologist team in scrub and circulating duties, maintains sterile technique, and ensures proper instrument prep and room turnover.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and 2 years of OR experience; a credentialed surgical technology program or military OR training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military OR training.
• Minimum 2 years operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
• Current certification preferred but not required for all positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique and proper sterile field.
• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments.
• Prepares and cleans instruments for sterilization.
• Assists RN circulator with patient prep and room turnover.
• Documents charges and monitors supplies/instrument sterility.
• Participates in department meetings and performance improvement activities.
