Job summary

Advocate Health University City surgery team in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled surgical technologist to assist in the operative suite, maintain sterile technique, and support the RN circulator.

The role requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program, 5 years OR experience, and current certification. You will help prepare room, manage instruments, and ensure patient safety. This is a part-time position with variable hours and responsibilities across procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of operating room experience as a surgical technologist.
• Current certification in Surgical Technology (ST III qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing patient, supplies, instruments prior, during and after procedure.
• Assists RN circulator in preparation of patient and assembly of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains sterile field and watches for sterility and proper disposal of specimens.
• Performs room turnover and ensures proper disposition of all specimens.
• Documents charges and participates in department Performance Improvement activities.
