Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in North Carolina. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week and shifts Monday through Friday with on-call requirements.

You will assist in aseptic technique, prep supplies and instruments, help with patient preparation, and support the Registered Nurse circulator during procedures and room turnover. Qualified candidates have an accredited Surgical Technology program, 5 years OR experience, and current

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• 5 years operating room experience required.
• Current certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and organize supplies.
• Assist in preparing patient and instruments; aid with room turnover.
• Assist RN circulator during procedures and with turnover.
• Monitor sterilization activities and document charges.
• Attend in-services and participate in Performance Improvement processes.
• Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource to others.
