Job summary

Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, you will maintain the sterile field, pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery, and serve as second scrub or first assistant as needed.

This role also supports circulating duties as required, with shifts available on-site, multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist upon hire.
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 3 years of experience as a certified surgical technician.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the operating room sterile field and passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Performs as second scrub and/or first assistant as needed.
• Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.
