Job summary

Providence is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating team at Covenant Medical Center. The role ensures a sterile field, assists in passing instruments and supplies, and may serve as second scrub or first assistant as needed.

You will support the circulating RN and contribute to patient safety during surgical procedures. Qualified candidates should be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program with NBSTSA or NCCT certification upon hire, plus current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - NBSTSA upon hire.
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - NCCT upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 3 years of Experience as a certified surgical technician.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique during surgery.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Act as second scrub and/or first assistant as needed.
• Assist RN with circulating duties.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology

National Certified Surgical Technologist - NBSTSA upon hire

National Tech in Surgery - Certified - NCCT upon hire

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
