Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. The role involves maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, sutures, and sponges, and acting as second scrub or first assistant as needed.

You will assist the circulating nurse and participate in perioperative care under RN supervision. Providence emphasizes patient-centered care and a culture of respect and teamwork across its facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire, Or
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 3 years of Experience as a certified surgical technician.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Performs in the role of second scrub and/or first assistant as needed.
• Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.
