Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center is seeking a Skilled Surgical Technologist to work in the operating room under the supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator. You will maintain the sterile field and pass instruments, sutures, and sponges to the surgeon during procedures.

As a second scrub and/or first assistant, you will support circulating duties as needed. Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST certification upon hire, BLS, and at least 3

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 3 years of Experience as a certified surgical technician.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the operating room sterile field and pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Assist the RN Circulator and function as second scrub or first assistant as needed.
• Support circulating duties as directed by the surgical team.
