Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Simi Valley is seeking a Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering to lead a team of SQEs and drive supplier performance across the BU. You will own scorecards, manage escalations, and coordinate corrective actions with the Global Supply Chain.

The role requires deep AS9100/AS9102/AS9145 knowledge, a track record in aerospace-quality processes, and strong leadership. Travel up to 30% and close collaboration with site leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years in Supplier/Manufacturing Quality roles, with 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100D, AS9102, and AS9145 with proven corrective action experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers for the assigned BU.
• Own supplier quality performance, scorecards, escalations, containment and 8D/SCAR closures.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain on cross-BU initiatives and supplier audits.
• Review supplier corrective actions for adequacy and sustainability; ensure AS9100D compliance.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
