Job summary

AeroVironment is recruiting an experienced Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering to lead a team of SQEs and drive supplier performance across a specific BU. The role reports to the BU Director of Quality with functional oversight from the Director of Supplier Quality Management.

In this position you will establish foundational supplier quality systems, manage CAPA closures, and collaborate with Global Supply Chain on cross-BU initiatives to improve cost, quality and delivery while holding both

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years in Supplier or Manufacturing Quality roles.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of AS9100D, AS9102, AS9145.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and develop talent.
• Own BU supplier quality performance: scorecards, escalations, containment, and CAPA closure.
• Enforce defined performance expectations; escalate and apply corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain on cross-BU initiatives and supplier consolidation.
• Review and approve 8D/SCAR responses for adequacy and sustainability.
• Oversee supplier audits and site inspections to AS9100D requirements.
• Ensure APQP/AS9102 requirements and flow-down of design and regulatory needs.
