Job summary

Applied Aerospace in Stockton, CA is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure purchased products and services meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. You will partner with Purchasing and Program Engineering to develop suppliers, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across the supplier base.

You will serve as the primary quality contact for assigned suppliers, plan audits, review corrective actions, and monitor quality metrics to drive sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of aerospace quality experience.
• Total of 10 years in related technology environment acceptable.
• Senior level requires 15 years in related fields.
• Proven supplier quality and audit experience required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality point of contact for assigned suppliers.
• Plan, conduct, and document supplier audits, assessments, and surveillance activities
• Initiate, review, and approve supplier corrective actions, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification
• Drive resolution of supplier quality issues, including nonconformances, escapes, and delivery-related concerns.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and periodic performance evaluation.
• Monitor supplier quality metrics and lead improvement initiatives based on performance trends.
• Review and present non-conformance reports (NCR) to the Corrective Action Board.
• Support QA Director with maintenance and implementation of the overall Quality System.
