CesiumAstro is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to lead a team of SQEs responsible for supplier qualification, development, and performance within aerospace and defense supply bases.

The role enforces supplier quality requirements, drives root-cause and corrective action with suppliers, and partners with Design Engineering to ensure DFM considerations are integrated into supplier processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field is required.
• 7+ years of related experience with 1–3 years in leadership/management, including supervising staff.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
• Experience in root-cause analysis and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Experience with PPAP and AS9102 First Article processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers, including hiring, workload assignment, and performance management.
• Manage department budget, staffing plans, and resources for supplier quality.
• Implement and maintain supplier quality processes per AS9100 and related standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure QMS and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee supplier qualification, performance reviews, risk assessment, and supplier removal when needed.
• Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers to meet CesiumAstro requirements.
