Job summary

AV is seeking an experienced Manager of Supplier Quality Engineering to lead a team of SQEs and drive supplier performance across a defined BU. You will report to the BU Director of Quality with dotted-line support from the Director of SQM, ensuring timely corrective actions and effective containment.

The role requires strong accountability culture, deep AS9100/AS9102/AS9145 knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Supplier Quality or related roles.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of AS9100D, AS9102, and AS9145.
• Strong root cause and corrective action skills (8D, 5-Why, fishbone).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day performance and development of a team of SQEs.
• Own supplier quality performance for the BU with scorecards and escalations.
• Ensure corrective actions are closed and sustainable.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain on cross-BU initiatives.
• Review supplier audits and site inspections for AS9100D compliance.
• Escalate systemic issues to BU Director of Quality and SQM leader.
• Coach SQEs on technical proficiency and communication.
• Assist in supplier selection and requalification decisions.
• Support new product introductions with design and regulatory flow-downs.
