Job summary

AV is seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality Engineering to lead a team of SQEs, own supplier quality for an assigned BU, and drive improvements across the global supplier network. The role reports to the BU Director of Quality with functional oversight from the Director of Supplier Quality Management.

The position emphasizes accountability, developing foundational supplier quality systems, and partnering with Global Supply Chain on cost, quality, and delivery initiatives. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality.
• 3+ years in supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of AS9100D, AS9102, and AS9145.
• Strong root cause and corrective action skills (8D, 5-Why).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Travel up to 30% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers.
• Own BU supplier quality performance, scorecards, escalations and CAPA closure.
• Escalate and enforce corrective actions when needed.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain on cross-BU initiatives.
• Oversee supplier audits and AS9100D/AS9145 compliance.
• Coach SQEs on technical proficiency and root cause methods.
• Review supplier CAPA responses and 8D reports.
• Support supplier selection and qualification decisions.
