Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent to plan, manage, and execute on assigned projects with moderate complexity. You will lead the team, plan sequencing, and ensure timely, profitable completion, aligned with JE Dunn's strategy and values.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, subcontractor management, schedule control, budget oversight, and collaboration with owners, design teams, and authorities. Requires extensive field supervision experience and a strong Lean mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years construction experience.
• 5+ years field supervision experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and travel.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and creates an injury-free environment through actions and mentoring.
• Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job and workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care, custody and control.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends progress and OAC meetings and manages project scheduling with the PM.
• Tracks budget and costs using project reports and PM input.
• Communicates key project information to owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
• Supports project closeouts and documentation controls.
