Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent to plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects. You will oversee safety culture, subcontractors, and staff while ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

The role demands strong coordination with owners, design teams, and local authorities to deliver projects on time and within scope. The candidate will lead progress meetings, manage field operations staff, and apply Lean construction principles to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years construction experience with field supervision; ability to lift 50 pounds; willingness for travel/relocation as needed.
• Must be able to manage budgets, supervise teams, and ensure project goals are met on time and within cost.
• Experience with project management systems, QA/QC, safety programs and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of safety culture and ensure injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors, staff, suppliers, and project workflows.
• Develop work plans and schedule for self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Coordinate site care, custody, and control; manage meetings and project reviews.
• Oversee budgeting, cost reporting, and procurement processes.
• Ensure quality compliance through specifications and QA/QC activities.
• Support project closeouts and owner/architect coordination.
