Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced electrical technician for inspections, testing, and maintenance of low- to medium-voltage equipment. The role focuses on field and shop work at the Blue Plains facility in Washington, with some local travel.

Applicants should have a strong background in electrical distribution, test equipment, and safety protocols (LOTO, arc flash, NFPA/NEC) and be able to work up to 69 kV with MAXIMO CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 7+ years of progressive experience or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years in electrical servicing.
• Must obtain or maintain NET A / NICET or equivalent substation testing certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation inspections and preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HV equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical and electronic components up to 69 kV.
• Use PPE and follow LOTO, arc flash, and confined-space protocols.
• Operate power distribution systems up to 69 kV and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Utilize MAXIMO CMMS to document work and manage assignments.
