Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC seeks an experienced technician for electrical distribution equipment inspections, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair at the Blue Plains facility in Washington, DC. Some local travel may be required, with safety as a priority.

The role requires knowledge of AC/DC equipment, NFPA/NEC/OSHA guidelines, and experience with electrical test equipment. A valid driver's license and ability to work safely at heights are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 7+ years of experience OR an associate's degree with 5 years in electrical maintenance.
• Must obtain NETA/AVO NICET or equivalent certification within 12 months from date of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operating License.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, OSHA and electrical safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, HV and substation testing, installation, maintenance and repair on equipment and power distribution systems.
• Troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment, breakers and systems following procedures.
• Operates distribution systems up to 69 kV.
• Takes infrared images to identify problems and maintains testing tools.
• Uses MAXIMO CMMS to document completed work.
