Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer specializing in Protection and Controls for roles across multiple U.S. office locations. The engineer will design substations, perform protective relay settings analyses, and provide field support during construction and commissioning.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license and have extensive experience with substation projects, relay protection schemes, and SCADA design. Travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Experience with substation design and drafting.
• Familiarity with relay protection schemes and relay logic.

Responsibilities

• Substation Design & Drafting: Create single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts and building layouts.
• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform grounding, lightning protection, voltage drop, conduit fill, and protective relaying analyses.
• Protection & Control: Develop relay settings with other departments and vendor engineers.
• Technical Documentation & Specifications: Develop equipment specs and work scopes.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Ensure on-time, compliant electrical designs.
• Field Support: On-site technical support during construction and commissioning.
