Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer - Protection and Controls in the Power Delivery group. You will design substations, set up protective relays, perform grounding and protection analyses, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, reliable energy systems.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in substation engineering, familiarity with relay schemes, and experience with MicroStation/AutoCAD. Some remote work possible; travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Substation engineering with protection and control.
• Familiarity with relay protection schemes and relay logic.
• Basic understanding of SCADA design.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with codes such as NESC and IEEE.
• Willingness to enter energized substations with proper PPE.
• Strong time management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Substation design drawings including single-line diagrams and control layouts.
• Perform protection, grounding analyses, and relay settings.
• Develop relay settings for protective features with other teams.
• Create technical equipment and construction specifications.
• Collaborate to ensure on-time, high-quality electrical designs.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning.
