Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Field Construction Project Manager to ensure constructability aligns with client and Qualus standards across a substation project portfolio. You will manage field activities, safety, and CMS coordination on-site with contractors and client representatives.

The role requires 7–10 years in electric utility substation construction, NERC/FERC knowledge, and strong communication skills for reporting and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience with electric utility substation construction projects.
• Knowledge of NERC and FERC compliance regulations.
• Ability and willingness to perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Site POC for EPC contractor, landowners, subcontractors, and all other Projects Site related activities.
• Monitor EPC contractor’s safety performance.
• Direct the CMS management by the CM staff.
• Assist in site review of contractor provided components and owner supplied equipment.
• Support Owner in reviewing EPC contractor’s compliance with key Project milestones.
• Provide daily reports by the next working day.
• Provide weekly reports for the following week.
• Provide monthly reports by the end of the first week of the following month.
• Coordinate with EPC Contractor representative to ensure clear and timely communication of issues or changes.
• Review EPC Contractors schedule extensions, weather delays, recovery plans, and re-baselines with evaluation review to Owner.
