Job summary

Qualus Corporation in its Construction Department seeks a Field Construction Project Manager to ensure constructability aligns with client expectations, codes, budget, schedule, and safety on each project. This role requires electric substation project experience and coordination of construction work by contractors at the site.

You will serve as site lead, oversee safety performance, manage CMS, review schedules and changes with the owner's team, and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience with electric utility substation construction projects.
• Knowledge of NERC and FERC compliance regulations.
• Willingness to perform field work both indoors and outdoors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as site point-of-contact for EPC contractor, landowners, and subcontractors.
• Monitor EPC contractor’s safety performance.
• Direct the CMS staff to manage Construction Management Services on site.
• Assist in site review of contractor components and owner-supplied equipment.
• Support owner in reviewing EPC contractor’s schedule milestones.
• Provide daily reports by the next working day.
• Provide weekly reports for the following week.
• Provide monthly reports by the end of the first week of the following month.
• Coordinate with EPC contractor to ensure clear and timely communication.
• Review schedule extensions and weather delays with the owner.
