Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Lead Protection & Control Engineer to lead a team of engineers and drafters in delivering protection and control designs for major substations. You will coordinate with multiple groups, ensure design concurrence, and develop complete packages including relaying, wiring, and SCADA components.

The role emphasizes mentoring, client interaction, and ensuring QA/QC throughout projects, with opportunities to lead business growth and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• - 7+ years in electrical engineering focused on protection and control.
• - PE registration is required.
• - Valid driver’s license and clean record.
• - Familiar with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of protection & control engineers and drafters from proposal to as-built.
• Coordinate with Substation Physical Engineering and Relay Settings for design concurrence.
• Develop complete engineering design packages for relaying and communications systems.
• Develop SCADA packages and input/output lists.
• Provide technical direction and training to team members.
