Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Substation Engineer Consultant to manage project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls, and scheduling professionals in the design and analysis of high voltage substations. The role includes coordinating with civil and transmission teams, directing design phases, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of HV project experience, an ABET-accredited BS in engineering, and is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 10+ years of experience in design engineering and/or management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC, Owner's Engineer, Traditional or Joint Ventures is a plus.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (Read, Speak, and Write).

Responsibilities

• Manage project team(s) including engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals.
• Direct the team lead in coordinating detailed design phases for all electrical engineering work.
• Coordinate and manage work performed by other stakeholders on the project (civil, structural, transmission lines).
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality.
• Communicate with clients and provide project and account support; assist in business development.
