Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead electrical design and project management for HV substations. You will participate in concept development, planning, and execution, with travel to client sites as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in MV power system design, strong communication, and experience with AutoCAD and MS Office. This hybrid role includes in-office collaboration three days a week and relocation support where offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree is required.
• 5+ years of experience in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budgets and schedules.
• Experience tracking project information: schedules, expenditures, status reports, client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings produced by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Support challenging assignments including investigating, troubleshooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information to meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• Opportunity to travel to client sites as needed.
• Contribute to design reviews and collaboration with engineers and designers.
