Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. You will lead substation design and protection-and-control projects for diverse client sites.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with designers, drafters, and clients. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with client and internal teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well in a team environment.
• Experience reading and designing substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring).
• Ability to create and check BOMs for substation projects.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and office locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of substation physical and protection & control design projects.
• Review drawings and ensure accuracy and quality control.
• Coordinate with designers, drafters, and clients to meet project needs.
• Provide project lifecycle support from scoping to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with NEC minimum requirements in design processes.
• Support site visits and collaboration with teams.
