Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer in the United States with 8+ years of substations experience. The role focuses on physical and protection-and-control design, drawing interpretation, BOM creation, and cross-functional collaboration with CAD teams.

Candidates will work in a flexible environment with opportunities for career development and growth within the Power Delivery group. Travel to sites may be required in Delaware, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Ability to read and design substation drawings and BOMs.
• Strong communication with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C design projects.
• Read one-line and three-line drawings, schematics, and grounding plans.
• Collaborate with designers and CAD technicians; perform quality control.
• Support project lifecycle from scoping to implementation.
• Attend site visits as needed.
