Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This role requires 8+ years of substation design experience and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering.

Location is within the United States: Delaware, Philadelphia PA, Atlantic City NJ, Washington DC, or Baltimore area with potential site visits. The role involves executing substation physical and P&C projects, reading and producing drawings, and delivering BOMs while ensuring quality and client satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years in substation design.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Collaborator and leader in a team environment.
• Self-starter with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and/or P&C design projects.
• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics).
• Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C.
• Perform quality control checks and support full project lifecycle.
