Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer in the United States to lead substation physical and P& C design efforts and guide a team of designers and CAD technicians. You will interact with clients to meet project needs and maintain quality across drawings, BOMs, and schedules.

The role requires 8+ years of substation design experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with responsibility for meeting design standards and safety codes while enabling project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of related substation design experience.
• Strong communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C design projects.
• Read and design one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section drawings.
• Create and check bill of materials for substation projects.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with design scope; support full project lifecycle.
