Job summary

Leidos seeks a Lead Substation Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in the United States. You will lead substation design efforts, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of substation design experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and willingness to travel for site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Proven communication and leadership abilities to coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and/or P&C projects.
• Read and design substation drawings: one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section, conduit and grounding.
• Create and check bill of materials for substation physical and P&C.
• Provide complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.
• Apply NEC minimum requirements to the design processes.
• Work with client standards to implement design.
• Collaborate with a designer/drafter to produce required drawings.
• Occasional site visits to customer locations and Framingham office.
