Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to join our design team. The role is fully REMOTE with occasional client travel, supporting substation physical and P&C design tasks.

We expect a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 4+ years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to read complex substation drawings. You will collaborate with designers and CAD technicians to meet project goals and standards.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with four (4+) or more years of related substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and clients to meet project needs.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Collaborator and leader who can work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-starter who works independently with minimal direction.
• Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver in both team and independent environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C design projects, ensuring quality and adherence to client standards.
• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring, plan-section, conduit, grounding).
• Create and check bills of materials for substation physical and P&C.
• Create and check estimates and schedules for various projects.
• Provide complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.
