Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead electrical design and project management for high voltage substations. The role includes conceptualizing projects, planning, and executing complex tasks with a focus on safety and client satisfaction.

You will prepare technical reports, review drawings, and collaborate with experienced engineers in a hybrid work environment, including potential travel and relocation support depending on location.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• PE license (preferred) and substations experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information clearly and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
