Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join a project team focused on detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substations.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years in MV power system design, and strong collaboration with engineers and clients. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and potential relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules.
• Experience with reviewing design drawings and client interfaces.
• Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards; knowledge of NESC.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Prepare reports meeting client requirements and S&L formats.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Coordinate with design team and review drawings.
• Support knowledge sharing via Communities of Practice.
